Explore Lhasa

Lhasa is the capital of Tibet and the cultural heart of the Tibetan people. The city is home to some of Tibet’s most important religious and historic sites, including the Potala Palace, the traditional residence of the Dalai Lamas. Lhasa is also home to Jokhang Temple and several other sacred monasteries and temples that make the city one of the most important destinations in Tibetan Buddhism.
Explore Mt. Everest

Mt. Everest is the highest mountain in the world and sits directly on the border between Tibet and Nepal. The Nepal side is the more popular destination for trekkers heading to Everest Base Camp, while the Tibetan side provides dramatic views of the mountain from the north. I’ve climbed Mt. Everest from both countries and photographed both routes, giving me the chance to experience how different the mountain looks and feels from each side.
