As one of the least populated states in America, I expected North Dakota’s capital of Bismarck to be barely more than a village. Bismarck’s population of about 75,000 people makes it a reasonably sized city, and its big though that it doesn’t even make the list of top ten smallest capitol cites! There is certainly enough here to make it a worthwhile visit for a few days. The photo above is the state capitol building. Much larger than I would have thought for North Dakota!
